PURCHASE, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released weekly awards ending in the week of April 26. After a 6-0 run, the Valiants took the titles of Pitcher of the Week, Rookie of the Week, and Player of the Week.
JORI WILKENDORF, PITCHER OF THE WEEK
Wilkendorf went 3-0 for the Valiants. She pitched 19.2 innings and had an ERA of 1.78. In her outings, she allowed 5 runs and struck out 19 of the batters she faced.
TAHLIA SMITH, ROOKIE OF THE WEEK
Smith, a pitcher, went 3-0 on the week. She pitched 16.1 innings, striking out 15 batters. She had an ERA of 3.00. The rookie also went 5-for-9 at the plate. She had a weekly batting average of .556 while scoring five runs and adding two RBI.
ALEXA LAZUR, PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The Third Baseman crushed the week at the plate. Lazur had a weekly batting average of .667. In her 18 at-bats, she had 12 hits, resulting in 11 RBI and 9 runs scored. Of her 12 hits, six went for extra bases. She hit four doubles and two home runs for the first-place Valiants.
