PURCHASE, N.Y. – With the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament getting underway tonight, the Skyline Conference announced Manhattanville's
Trevor Kolar (South Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman) and
Joe Gandarillas (Farmingville, N.Y./Sachem HS East) as All-Conference Selections for the 2026 season.
The duo become the third and fourth All-Conference selections in the program's three year history. Kolar is the second player alongside
Evie Rapp (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore) from last year's team to be a Skyline All-Conference First Team selection, while Gandarillas was voted to the Second Team, a distinction he shares with
Kyle Simmons (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) from a year ago.
Kolar put the conference on notice from the outset his rookie season as the freshman led all Valiants with 191 kills over his 21 matches of action. His 2.81 kills per set ranked second on the team, trailing only Simmons in kill rate. Kolar also heads into the postseason third on the team in digs with 108, averaging 1.59 per set. His 24 aces is the second-most by a Valiant this year, while his 22 blocks ranks fourth on the team. Kolar was a one-time Skyline Rookie of the Week this season and was further recognized three separate times as a Skyline Honorable Mention.
Gandarillas picks up the first All-Conference nod of his career, serving as another arm of Manhattanville's attack threat alongside Kolar. The junior supplied 179 kills over his 23 matches of action, posting a career-high 2.45 kills per set entering the postseason. Alongside Kolar, he was the only other Valiant to surpass 100 kills and 100 digs this season, logging 112 digs on the year and averaging 1.53 per set. Gandarillas added 18 blocks at the net and served 19 aces with nine assists. He was named Skyline Player of the Week once this season back in February in addition to an Honorable Mention nod in March.
Kolar, Gandarillas and the Valiants open postseason play tonight at Purchase College as No. 3 Manhattanville takes on the second-seeded Panthers at 7 p.m.
