VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Manhattanville University softball team is headed to The Old Dominion this week as the Valiants were placed in the Virginia Beach Regional for the 2026 NCAA Division III Softball Tournament, as unveiled during the selection show earlier today.
The Valiants will be making their 12
th NCAA Tournament appearance in school history at the regional, competing in the double elimination round from May 14
th through the 16
th.
Manhattanville draws an opening matchup against Pfeiffer University on Thursday as the Falcons punched their ticket to the tourney by capturing their fourth-straight USA South Conference Championship on Saturday with a sweep of NC Wesleyan. Rounding out the regional foursome is No. 1 overall and hosts Virginia Wesleyan, who capped off a perfect 45-0 campaign by capturing the ODAC championship against Bridgewater College on Saturday, and the John Jay Bloodhounds who ended the year winners of nine straight to capture the SUNYAC title with a win over Brooklyn College on Friday.
Manhattanville was a conference champion in their own right, defeating Farmingdale 9-6 on Sunday to capture its 14
th conference title. The Valiants head into the NCAA with a 35-8 record overall, winners of six straight after going 21-0 against Skyline Conference teams this season.
