PURCHASE, N.Y.
– Senior Kenneil Haye (Queens, N.Y.) will always remember his Senior Night, as the forward registered eight points on a hat trick and two assists in his last game at GoValiants.com Field to lead the Manhattanville men's soccer team over Freedom Conference foe Delaware Valley, 7-1, on Saturday evening.

Manhattanville (10-6-1, 3-3-1 Freedom) went into the day needing help in order to qualify for the Freedom Conference Tournament, and so despite the victory the Valiants are left on the outside looking in thanks to a 4-0 victory by Misericordia University over Wilkes University on Saturday night.

Haye scored a natural hat trick to begin the evening as the Valiants badly outplayed an Aggie team that played with only 10 players on the pitch. Haye scored his first goal after a flick pass from sophomore Moshee Kelyana (Scarborough, Ontario) allowed Haye to score on a mini breakaway in the second minute of play.  Haye made the game 2-0 Valiants after a long ball from junior Keston George (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad & Tobago) sprung the forward down the side of the field and he deked a defender twice before beating Aggies' netminder DJ Meisinger in the 20th minute.  Haye completed the hat trick in the 26th minute as Kelyana and junior Chukwueloka Muoka (Bronx, N.Y.) used beautiful passes to find Haye with a cross into the back of the net.

For the senior, the eight overall points tie him for seventh place on the school's single-match scoring list, while his hat trick is the 32nd in program history.

The Valiants continued to pressure the Aggies in the defensive zone as sophomore Erick Olazabal (Milton, Ontario) served a nice corner kick to the far post finding the head of classmate Marco Blasetti (Yonkers, N.Y.) for a four-goal lead in the 33rd minute.

The host team scored two more times before the end of the first half as Muoka and graduate student Anthony Ferraro (Bronx, N.Y.) both netted their first goals of the season.  The Valiants outshot the Aggies after the first half, 20-1, with an 11-1 edge in shots on goal.

The Valiants held back in the second half and took a seven-goal lead as George found sophomore Eros Olazabal (Milton, Ontario) with a cross from the endline in the 47th minute. Delaware Valley got on the board late in the contest after a yellow card was issued inside the box as Tom Antonucci scored on a penalty kick.

The Valiants finished the contest outshooting Del Val, 32-2, in shots and took 18 shots on goal. Meisinger made 10 saves for the Aggies, while freshman Zach Benton (Houston, Texas) made one save for his first collegiate victory.

The Valiants will graduate eight players at the end of the season, but return All-Conference members George and junior Emil Sjoberg (Stockholm, Sweden).
