Kayla Meenan (Warminster, Pa./William Tennent), defeated the DeSales Bulldogs by the score of 2-1 in Center Valley, Pa. on Saturday afternoon.
The first half saw very little action as only three shots were registered from both sides combined. Junior goalkeeper
Amy Hilton (Pittsburgh, Pa./Kents Hill (Maine)) turned aside the only two shots she faced at 2:43 and 29:00 of the first half, while on the opposite end of the field Victoria DelToro stopped the only shot she faced off the stick of senior

In the second half of play Manhattanville got on the board first just a little over 10 minutes into the stanza as Savage picked up her third goal of the season after picking up the pass from Meenan at the 44:15 point of the contest to give the Valiants a 1-0 lead.
DeSales picked up a shot over the next several minutes of game action, until the 53:23 mark of the game when senior
Melissa Goncalves (Holtsville, N.Y./Sachem East) passed a ball off to Meenan who banged the ball off the post and into the goal to put Manhattanville up by a pair.
For Meenan it was her 35th career goal, putting her into a second place tie in the all-time goals list with Alyssa Tyghter '07, she also passed Tyghter in terms of all-time points, as Meenan now stands alone in third place with 92 career points, six behind Kristen Coffey '04 who finished her career with the most points all-time with 98.
The Bulldogs responded quickly as less than four minutes later DeSales cut the lead back down to one when Alison Malatesta snuck one by Hilton after in hit off of a Manhattanville defender's stick. With momentum in their favor the Bulldogs rattled off three shots, that were all wide, and a pair of corners with no success as the Bulldogs continued their attempt to tie the game at two.
In the closing three minutes of the contest the Bulldogs had a few more chances left in them, but the Valiant defensive unit and Hilton and goal were able to deny the home team to hang on for the 2-1 victory.
The game finished with Manhattanville and DeSales tied with four shots on goal apiece, while overall shots were in favor of DeSales at 9-4. The low shot total resulting from the grass surface in Center Valley. Pa., in the place of an artificial turf surface. Penalty corners were also in favor of the Bulldogs at 17-9.
In goal Hilton picked up her ninth win of the season, while making three saves on the afternoon and allowing only one goal to lower her goals against average to 2.32 on the year. Her nine wins gives her a total of 22 for her career, one shy of tying Renee Gillette '98 for fourth on the all-time wins list.
