HADDONFIELD, N.J. – The Manhattanville University field hockey team capped off another stellar academic year as the Valiants had 17 student-athletes named to the Atlantic East Academic All-Conference Team for the 2025-26 academic year.

It is the most honorees the Valiants have had on an Atlantic East Academic All-Conference team in their four years calling the conference home. The field hockey team comes off last year's then-high of 14 appointees from the 2024-25 academic year.

Senior Makenzie Mueller (Northport, N.Y./Northport Senior), juniors Sabina Cosmo (Harrison, N.Y./Harrison), Fiona Doherty (Clarkstown, N.Y./Clarkstown South), Hannah Doherty (Clarkstown, N.Y./Clarkstown South), Keira Guinan (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford), Julia Huertas (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) and Shannon Keena (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River), sophomores Charlotte Carroll (Somers, N.Y./Somers) and Aaliyah Frank (Danbury, Conn./Danbury), and freshmen Charlotte Batelic (Pawling, N.Y./Pawling), Braydan Haas (Locust Valley, N.Y./Locust Valley), Emelina Leccese (Rocky Point, N.Y./Rocky Point), Mariella Manicchio (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y./Ossining), Alexandra Maresca, Emma Masie (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford), Frankie Slippen (Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y./Croton Harmon) and Julia Ward (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire) comprised this year's field hockey representatives on the Academic All-Conference Team.

The Atlantic East Academic All-Conference Team is eligible to student-athletes that earned a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or higher for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters while earning a varsity letter in their respective sport, using a season of eligibility as defined by the NCAA, and meeting all other NCAA eligibility requirements for participation in their respective sports.

The Atlantic East honored more than 1,000 student-athletes on this year's Academic All-Conference Team. An affiliate member for the 2025 field hockey season, the Valiants had the second-most honorees for the sport in the conference, trailing only Marywood's 19 selections.

Outside of the Atlantic East Academic All-Conference Team, Cosmo, the Doherty twins and Huertas were inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma national collegiate athlete honor society Class of 2026 in April. Furthermore, Hannah Doherty (Clarkstown, N.Y./Clarkstown South) and Huertas represented the field hockey team on the 2025-2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® At-Large Team earlier this month.
