"“It was like watching men against boys," said head coach
Gregg Miller after the game. "We were second best in every aspect of the game. Out of all my years coaching soccer, that one goes down as the worst performance I have ever seen. You can usually take some parts of a game like this to make a positive, but theres not a single positive thing I can take from a performamce like that."
"Quite simply the Eastern players were up for it and we weren't...we were physically intimidated, outrun, and simply outplayed as we never competed at any point during the contest," Miller continued. "Without a couple of saves made by our keeper in the second half the score could have easily been worse. And now we have to try to pick ourselves up for another tough conference road game against FDU-Florham."
Manhattanville (4-5-3, 1-1-0 Freedom) will be back to conference play on Tuesday when it travels to Madison, N.J. to take on the FDU-Florham Devils at 7:00 p.m. Eastern (6-2-1, 1-1-0 Freedom) is also back in action on Tuesday when they take on the Misericordia Cougars at 7:00 p.m. in Dallas, Pa.
