Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – Freshman Alissa Primavera (Brewster, N.Y./Brewster) combined for 32 kills in seven sets to set a new program single-season kills record as the Manhattanville women's volleyball team picked up two wins over Sarah Lawrence and St. Joseph's (L.I.) on the second and final day of the St. Joseph's Invitational, held on Saturday at the Danzi Athletic Center.

Primavera had a milestone day for Manhattanville (16-13), surpassing the program single-season kills record and becoming the first Valiant ever to reach 300 kills in a season. She had 32 kills with only four errors for a stellar .418 hitting percentage in the two wins, and now has a team-best 314 kills on the year.

Senior Susy Camaj (Lagrangeville, N.Y./Millbrook) also had a big day for the Valiants, posting 30 kills in six sets on .397 hitting. In the process, she became only the second player in program history to reach the 800-kill plateau for a career, while her 260 kills so far this year are behind only Primavera and her own total from a year ago on the school's single-season ledger.

Freshman Megan Quinabo (Pearl City, Hawaii/Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama) also had 51 assists in the day, vaulting herself all the way up to second on the school's single-season list with 670 so far this year, and junior Alyssa Casino (Rye Brook, N.Y./Maria Regina) chipped in 11 service aces and 25 digs to lead the team in both categories.

The first match of the day was not a particularly competitive one, as Manhattanville dropped just 13 total points in posting a 3-0 (25-3, 25-3, 25-7) win over Sarah Lawrence. The 13 points are the fewest ceded by a Valiant squad since the NCAA went to 25-point sets in 2008.

The Valiants hit .442 with 23 kills and only four errors on 43 attacks, and the squad also was lethal at the service line to the tune of 25 aces. Conversely, Sarah Lawrence had only four kills and 15 errors (-.344 hitting) in the loss.

No Valiant was able to rack up huge numbers in the win, but Primavera had a match-best eight kills while Camaj added seven and junior Jillian Chittenden (Rye, N.Y./Rye) had six. Casino had 10 of the team's 25 aces by herself, while Quinabo added 15 assists and seven aces of her own.

The second match of the day was the Camaj and Primavera show, as the two Valiant hitters combined for 47 of the team's 49 kills in leading Manhattanville to a 3-1 (25-16, 25-20, 16-25, 26-24) win over the host Eagles.

Primavera led the team with 24 kills, coming just one short from the program single-match high of 25 set by Jen Riordan '90 on October 23, 1987. Camaj was close behind with a 23-kill effort that tied her for third on the school's single-match list, and she also added 11 digs for good measure.

Quinabo was the statistical beneficiary of her teammates' proficiency, as she was credited with 36 assists and also came one dig short of another double-double. Casino also played very well defensively, registering 23 digs.

The Valiants, whose 16 wins so far this year are already the most by a Manhattanville team since 2000, will be back in action on Tuesday night, as Manhattanville travels to Delaware Valley for a Freedom Conference matchup beginning at 7 p.m.
