Box Score MADISON, N.J. -- The Manhattanville College men's tennis team competed in the Ranger Invitational at Drew University, Saturday, Feb. 22, and Sunday, Feb. 23. The event was a doubles tournament and the Valiants had five different pairings compete.
Manhattanville (2-1) had three of their five pairings fall in the second round of the winner's bracket. The pairing of senior Juan Huertas (Bogotá, Colombia/La Salle (H.S.) (Calif.)) and junior Jan Senkerik (Zlin, Czech Republic/The Hill Academy) advanced as well as the pairing of graduate student Soya Goto (Rye, N.Y./Rye) and sophomore Dylan Crowley (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial). Both pairings would fall in the following round of the winner's bracket. Senkerik and Huertas then won two matches in the challenger's bracket before falling in the fifth round and Goto and Crowley won one consolation match before the end of the tournament.
The Valiants return to the court, Sunday, March 8, against Baruch College. The match is set for 12:30 P.M. at the Alley Pond Tennis Center in Queens, N.Y.
