SARATOGA, N.Y. – Completing the fall semester slate, the Manhattanville College women's golf team was represented at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Fall Classic on Saturday afternoon.
Meg Stacy (Bethany, Conn./The Gunnery) was the Valiants' lone golfer at the event, placing 37
th overall in the event.
Stacy was one of seven golfers at the event to participate as an individual at the Par 72, 5,615 yard McGregor Links Country Club in Saratoga.
Isabel Smith of Suffolk University finished in first place, winning the event with a score of 79 (+7).
On the team leaderboard, it was SUNY Cortland claiming the top spot with a team score of 334 (+46). The Red Dragons finished 37 strokes ahead of second-place Suffolk.
The NWGC is hosting the Conference Invitational today, although Stacy will not be competing for the Valiants. The junior will now trade her clubs for skates as she gears up for the women's hockey season starting in November.
