REXFORD, N.Y. – Lindsay Reyes (Chino Hills, Calif./SUNY Cortland) made her collegiate golf debut over the weekend, representing the Valiants at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship at the two-day outing hosted at the Edison Club.
Reyes was the lone Valiant to take to the Par 72, 5,688 yard greens on Saturday and Sunday, finishing 47
th across her two rounds of play. The Manhattanville senior shot a 130 (+58) on Day One before earning a 126 (+54) in her second go-around the links, finishing with a two-day total of 256 (+112).
Reyes sunk par on two holes over the weekend, first on the Par 3 13 on Saturday before sinking a Par 4 opening hole on Sunday. Reyes knocked four strokes off her day one total, making up the most ground on the front nine by improving her score by 11 strokes on her second round.
Suffolk's Ellie Yarbrough won the individual crown at the meet, shooting a two-day total of 152 (+8). The Rams were also the top team at the weekend's outing, finishing with a team score of 648 (+72) to move past two-time defending champs Cortland by ten stroke.
