REXFORD, N.Y. – Concluding the 2021-22 season, the Manhattanville College women's golf team competed over the weekend at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference (NWGC) Championships. While the Valiants did not have enough golfers to earn a team score, Manhattanville posted a pair of top-30 finishes, with Sydney Bardsley () placing fifth overall.

The graduate student Bardsley ended Round Two on Sunday with a score of 172 (+28) to tie for fifth place on the individual scoreboard with SUNY Cortland's Sophia Oristian to make the All-NGWC First Team at the conclusion of the event. Meg Stacy (Bethany, Conn./The Gunnery), making her season debut on the links, ended the weekend with a score of 244 (+100) to take 29th place.

Bardsley had a great showing in Saturday's Round One as the Par 72, 5,688 yard Edison Club course. She would end her first round in third place, shooting an 82 (+10) in the first 18 holes. Bardsley sank nine pars and had a birdie on the Par 5, 427 yard Hole 12. The second trip around the course on Sunday gave Bardsley a touch more trouble, as she saw her stroke total increase by eight for a Round Two score of 90 (+18). Still, it was an excellent showing for the graduate student capping off a year of strong play.

After shooting 129 (+57) in Round One, Stacy was able to knock 14 strokes off her score on Sunday to score a 115 (+43) in her second round. Individually, Stacy performed better on 10 of the 18 holes in her second round of play, allowing her to leapfrog Westfield State's Kerry Greenough to claim 29th place on the leaderboards.

SUNY Cortland had five of the weekend's top six golfers, with Bardsley being the only non-Red Dragon between them. Paige Cerminaro led the field after both rounds, shooting a tournament-low 157 (+13) to take first place overall. She tied with teammate Claudia Winterberg for the best score on Round Two, with both shooting a 78 (+6).

SUNY Cortland took the team crown with a total score of 648 (+72). The rest of the team standings, in order, were Suffolk (751, +175), Nazareth (754, +178), Husson (768, +192), Utica (854, +278), Keuka (1100, +524), and Westfield State (1121, +545).
