BLOOMFIELD, CONN. – Meg Stacy (Bethany, Conn./The Gunnery) took to the links for the final time in the 2022-23 academic year, representing the Valiants at the Northeast Women's Golf Conference Championship over the weekend.

The junior ended the two-day event placing 31st overall in the field of 43 golfers. Stacy finished with a two round score of 249 on the Par 70, 5.678 yard Wintonbury Hills Course.

In her first outing since the NWGC Fall Classic all the way back in October, Stacy shot a 120 (+50) in the opening round on Saturday. The junior shot an identical 60 over the front and back nine on the day, shooting three bogies across the 18 holes. Her score placed her in the 31st through the end of Day One.

In her second go-around of Wintonbury Hills, Stacy shot a 129, holding her 31st ranking in the individual leaderboard. Her score increased by nine strokes on the front nine but would replicate her 60 on the back nine to end the outing strong. Her biggest individual improvement came on hole 14, where she took five strokes off from her Round 1 score to sink the Par 4 in five strokes.

Amanda Gaffney of SUNY Cortland finished atop the individual leaderboard, shooting a 153 (+8) to take first place. Three Red Dragons occupied the top three spots of the leaderboard as Cortland would also win the team title with a score of 626 (+37).
