ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Manhattanville University cross country teams ran at the NCAA Regional Cross Country Championships for the first time since 2018, making the pilgrimage up to Rochester for Saturday's competition between the finest of the Niagara Region. The men's team placed 24
th overall in the 8K, and while the women's team did not have enough runners to place on the team scoreboard, three Valiants competed in the 6K race.
Zach Garrant (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill High School) paced the men's team, clocking in at 28:24.0 to place 117
th overall in the field of 187.
Joey DeMilio (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) finished five spots later in 122
nd, crossing the finish in 28:32.8.
Danny Noia (Honolulu, Hawaii/McKinley) closed out his freshman cross country season with a showing of 30:55.7 to place 161
st.
Courtney Brown (Clarendon, Jamaica/Mount Vernon) took 167
th with a time of 31:06.2, while
Daniel Baldessarre (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) rounded out the Valiant effort in 173
rd, crossing in 31:51.2.
On the women's side,
Sam Delgado (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle),
Adelina Rodriguez (Westbury, N.Y./Westbury) and
Alicia Bibi (Marlborough, Mass./Marlborough) all laced up for the Valiants. Delgado paced the trio in 141
st with a finish of 28:24.4. Rodriguez went on to cross in 29:25.3, good for 147
th, while Bibi took 155
th with a split of 32:34.8.
