Manhattanville Athletics Weekly Honor Roll Report – April 23

PURCHASE, N.Y. - Manhattanville University has four athletes represented for this week's Skyline Conference honor roll awards. 

Skyline Conference Men's Lacrosse Report 

Nick Padovani (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) 

The Valiants competed in two conference games this past week. Padovani won 20 faceoffs and collected 12 ground balls while scoring four points between the two contests. In the Valiants loss against USMMA he secured five of his 10 draws while earning two ground balls. He arguably had his best game of the season with the win against SJLI earning 15 of the 17 faceoffs and 10 ground balls. He locked up his first points of the season, scoring twice and earning a pair of assists in the win over the Golden Eagles.  

Skyline Conference Women's Lacrosse Report 

Pietra Cabral (Mineola, N.Y./Mineola)  

Cabral notched a 12-goal week leading the Valiant attack. She earned a nine-goal game in the win over Old Westbury which Manhattanville has not seen since 2018. Adding to her impressive offensive effort, Cabral also earned three ground balls and a caused turnover to her name.  

Skyline Conference Softball Report 

Angelina Cruz (Oceanside, Calif./Rancho Buena Vista) 

The Valiants earned two more conference wins this past weekend with games against Purchase College and Mount Saint Vincent. Cruz hit .500 with three home runs, seven RBI and six runs scored. She locked down a two-run home run in the first contest against purchase and went two-for-two win another home run and two RBI and two runs scored in the second matchup. She went two-for-three with three RBI and two runs scored in the Valiants wins over Mount Saint Vincent. 

Jori Wilkendorf (Livermore, Calif./Livermore) 

Wilkendorf never gave up a run across 10 innings. She pitched a complete five inning game against Purchase, striking out three while allowing just two hits. She threw another five-inning complete game shutout in the Valiants win over Mount Saint Vincent. She notched a season five of five strikeouts and only allowed four hits.
