ATLANTA, Ga. – The Manhattanville University women's basketball team has been recognized by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) for its academic prowess this past academic year.

After earning a cumulative team GPA of 3.475 across the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters, the Valiants earned an NCAA Division III Academic Honor Roll Special Mention from the WBCA. It is the second-consecutive year Manhattanville has been recognized by the organization after holding the No. 14 spot on the 2023-24 Division III Academic Honor Roll.

The WBCA Academic Top 25 recognizes NCAA Division I, II, and III, NAIA and two-year college women's basketball teams across the nation that carry the highest combined GPAs inclusive of all student-athletes on their rosters for the entire season. The 2024-25 season is the 30th in which the WBCA has compiled the honor rolls.

The Valiants had ten players named to the Skyline Conference's 2024-25 Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll in July for earning individual GPAs of 3.3 or higher for the academic year. Additionally, Esther Ramos (Queens, N.Y./Forest Hills) and Julie DeBrocky (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) were named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selections in March following the conclusion of the season.

Colorado College was named the top team on the Division III Academic Honor Roll, earning a 3.864 team GPA for the year. The Valiants were joined by fellow Skyline teams Sarah Lawrence and Mount Saint Mary on the Special Mentions list for each earning GPAs of higher than 3.0 for the year.

Manhattanville went 18-7 overall and 15-5 in the Skyline Conference last season, making the team's fifth-consecutive Skyline Conference Championship Tournament.
