Junior
Rylee McGuire (Grantham, N.H./Lebanon) picked up where she left off a season ago, scoring the game's first goal in the fourth minute off a corner assisted by sophomore
Bregje Smits (Bussum, Netherlands/Willen de Zwigger College). With a 1-0 lead, the Valiants eventually found the net one more time in the first half as graduate student
Kirsten Savage (Harrington Park, N.J./Old Tappan) made it 2-0 on an unassisted goal in the 20th minute.
After the goal from Savage, the Huskies cut their deficit in the 27th minute when Peyton Dostie blasted a reverse stick shot to the far post past sophomore goalkeeper
Meghan Hughes (Kintnersville, Pa./Palisades). Despite Manhattanville being outshot 7-2 in the first half, the Valiants controlled a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Both teams were silent in the second half until the 56th minute as Huskies forward Kaylie Andrews tied the game up at two, beating Hughes on a scrum in front of the net.
