Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine- After shutting out New England College a day ago, the Manhattanville field hockey team struggled offensively against Colby College on Sunday afternoon, falling by a final score of 10-0 in non-conference play.

Manhattanville (2-5) was unable to find the back of the net against Colby (2-2), taking only six shots compared to the 26 from the Mules. Sophomore
Meghan Hughes (Kintnersville, Pa./Palisades) and freshman
Kaitlin Halloran (Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown East) split time in between the pipes for the Valiants, collecting seven total saves in net, allowing five goals each.Â

Megan Fortier and Kaitlyn O'Connel were the difference makers for Colby, tallying three goals each in the win over the Valiants. After Fortier connected on the first goal of the game in the 10th minute, the Mules never looked back, rattling off nine more goals.

Kirsten Savage (Harrington Park, N.J./Old Tappan) took four shots, three of which were saved by Colby goalkeeper Sarah Evans. Evans registered four saves on six shots while Hughes accounted for five saves on 13 shots. Halloran entered in the second half for Manhattanville, tallying two saves on 13 shots.Â
