PURCHASE, N.Y. – After a phenomenal offensive stretch last week, Kelly Barrera (Port Chester, NY/Port Chester High School) of the Manhattanville College women's soccer team has been named Skyline Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, for the week ending Oct. 9.

Leading the Valiants to a perfect 2-0-0 week, Barrera was involved in all five of Manhattanville's goals in the two matches. The sophomore finished the week with seven points, scoring twice and dishing out three assists. In Manhattanville's 1-0 win over Saint Joseph's-Brooklyn last Tuesday, Barrera assisted the only score of the contest. Three days later, she put together one of her best performances on the pitch of her collegiate career, scoring a personal-best of six points on two goals and a pair of assists in the Valiants' 4-0 win over Maritime.

After falling last night to Sarah Lawrence, Barrera and the rest of the Valiants are back in action on Saturday at noon at Purchase College.
