PURCHASE, N.Y. – Ahead of the start of the 2023 season, the Manhattanville College women's cross-country team has been voted No. 6 in the Skyline Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.
With head coach Mike Cameron entering his third season at the helm and coming off of a Men's Track and Field Coach of the Year recognition, the women's cross-country team will look to find success out on the course during their 2023 campaign.
The Valiants roster will feature returners in
Angelyne Silverio (West Orange, N.J./West Orange) and
Jen Schmidt (Williston Park, N.Y./Herricks) while a handful of new faces will be introduced.
Odalis Amado (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck),
Gabrielle Billetz (Clarksburg, Mass./Hoosac Valley),
Jayda Birch (Jamaica, N.Y./Excelsior Preparatory),
Orquidea Briceno (Brooklyn, N.Y./Fort Hamilton),
Elisa Salce (Jamaica, N.Y./Malverne), and
Rae Sawyer (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial) will all be making their collegiate debuts this upcoming season.
The Valiants will get underway with their season at the Stockton University Season Opener on Sep. 1 with a 4:45p.m. start.
