NEW YORK, N.Y. – Esther Ramos' (Queens, N.Y./Forest Hills) junior campaign added one final accolade earlier this week as the guard was selected as a Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division III Honorable Mention.
Ramos is the fifth player in program history to earn MBWA postseason honors and makes it back-to-back years the Valiants have had a member of the roster recognized. Last season,
Julianna Kascic (North Bergen, N.J./Paramus Catholic) was named to the All-Met Second Team.
Ramos comes off the best season of her career which saw her named to the Skyline Conference's All-Conference First Team, her first All-Conference accolade. The junior played in all 25 contests for Manhattanville in the 2024-25 campaign, making the start in 24 games. She saw her playing time per game shoot up by nearly 20 minutes from the season prior, averaging 27.5 per contest. The result was a career-high 280 points, putting up 11.2 per game.
Ramos finished the year as Manhattanville's leading rebounder on the year with 179 boards, another career-high mark. She also reached new bests with 56 assists, 40 steals and seven blocks. In addition to her All-Conference selection, Ramos was further honored as a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District
® selection for the second-consecutive year for her combined efforts on the court and in the classroom.
