PURCHASE, N.Y. – Following the conclusion of the 2025 campaign,
Lev Uitterhoeve (Maastricht, The Netherlands/Porta Mosana College) and
Derwin Guzman (Bronx, N.Y./Frederick Douglass Academy) of the Manhattanville University men's tennis team received Skyline All-Conference distinctions. The freshman Uitterhoeve was voted to the All-Conference First Team, while Guzman completes his junior year with appointment to the Second Team.
Uitterhoeve represented the Valiants in top-flight play for a majority of the spring season, finishing 9-4 in singles action and 7-6 in doubles play. The Netherlands native slid into the No. 1 singles spot three matches into the spring campaign and went 7-3 against the oppositions' bests, including a 4-3 mark against the Skyline. Uitterhoeve primarily teamed with
Mario Alcala (Madrid, Spain/Hoosac School) in doubles play and took to the No. 1 courts in all 13 of Manhattanville's spring matches. In conference play, Uitterhoeve finished 4-3 in doubles versus the Skyline.
Guzman earned his first All-Conference nods of his collegiate career after manning the Valiants' #2 singles spot. The junior earned five singles wins during the spring, one in the No. 1 spot and the other four whilst playing 2s. Guzman earned three singles victories against conference foes. In doubles action, he collected seven wins with a variety of partners, primarily working alongside
Dylan Von Brook (Shirley, N.Y./William Floyd) on the No. 2 flight. Guzman notched four duos wins against the Skyline.
