Men's Golf Splits Squad for Yeshiva, FDU-Florham Invitationals

BRONX, N.Y. & MENDHAM, N.J. – The Manhattanville University men's golf team pulled double duty on Monday morning, splitting the squad up to compete at the Yeshiva University Invitational at the Pelham Bay Course while the other half headed to the Medham Golf & Tennis Club to take part in the 2025 FDU-Florham Invitational.

Over in the Bronx, the Valiants competed against three Skyline Conference foes in the Yeshiva Invitational. Taking to the Par 70 course, Manhattanville finished third as a team in the field, shooting a 346 (+66).

Justin Fernet (Sherbrooke, Quebec/Taft School) led the Valiant foursome on the day, shooting an 80 (+10) to tie for fourth overall with Bailey Meyer of Saint Joseph's Long Island for the junior's lowest round of the season. After winning Skyline Men's Golfer of the Week honors for his performance last week, Corey Popowcer (Parkland, Fla./Vermont Lumberjacks (EHL)) tied for sixth with SJLI's Nick Gentile, shooting an 82 (+12).

The Valiants were rounded out by Tyler Rolston (Newport, Pa./P.A.L Jr. Islanders (NCDC)), who scored an 86 (+16) to tie for 10th, and Ryan McKenna (Spokane, Wash./Sheridan Hawks (NA3HL)), finishing with a round of 98 (+28) to place 16th.

Saint Joseph's and the hosting Yeshiva tied with team scores of 325 (+45) to share the team crown. Mount Saint Vincent finished in fourth with a score of 358 (+78). Yeshiva's Pinny Ehrenfeld was the day's overall top performer, shooting an impressive 73 (+3) to sit atop the leaderboard.

Some 40-plus miles west across the Hudson, the other half of the men's golf team were in action at the FDU-Florham Invitational in Mendham.

Manhattanville posted a team score of 361 (+66), placing 10th amongst the 11 competing clubs.

Making his Valiant debut, Liam Parker (Washingtonville, N.Y./Washingtonville) led Manhattanville with a round of 81 (+9) to tie for 14th overall. Pham sunk two birdies on holes 6 and 10 while finishing the round with eight total pars.

William Billequey (Montreal, Quebec/Vermont Lumberjacks (EHL)) tied for 39th with his 89 (+17), sinking seven pars. Johno Hoins (Telluride, Colo./The Frederick Gunn School / Notre Dame Hounds (SJHL)) was four strokes behind, placing 46th overall with a round of 93 (+21). Hoins finished with par on six holes.

Rounding out the day's performers, Lam Pham shot a round of 98 (+26) in his Manhattanville debut. The freshman sunk birdie on the opening hole and sunk par on two holes later in the round. His performance placed 56th overall for the day.

Kean won the 11-team event with a team score of 303 (+15). Logan Perrone of the Cougars won the event as the lone golfer to shoot below par, scoring a 70 (-2) to lead Kean.

The Valiants will return with a full squad next Tuesday for the Mount Saint Vincent Invitational at the Westchester Hills Golf Club in White Plains.
