PURCHASE, N.Y. – Senior Ryan McCann (Medford, N.Y./Longwood) added two more accolades to his highly decorated 2026 campaign on Tuesday as the pitcher became the first all-region selection from Manhattanville Baseball since 2022, earning recognition from both the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) and D3baseball.com.

McCann was announced as the 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division III Region III Pitcher of the Year as well as a Region III All-Region First Team selection, while D3baseball named McCann to its All-Region Region 3 Second Team.

McCann is the first pitcher in program history to be named an All-Region Pitcher of the Year. Furthermore, he is the Valiants' first All-Region selection since Tommy Iazzetta made the D3baseball First Team in 2022 and is the first player to earn dual ABCA and D3baseball All-Region honors in the same season since Peter Iannarilli and Jack Matero in 2019.

McCann becomes Manhattanville's 20^th ABCA All-Region appointee and the eighth player recognized by D3baseball.

The senior fired one of the best seasons in the Valiants' decorated history, going 9-1 on the mound with a 2.76 ERA. McCann went 65.1 innings with 53 strikeouts, holding opponents to a .268 batting average. He fired five complete games on the year while issuing just six walks on the season. McCann had three scoreless outings during the campaign, firing six shutout innings against Yeshiva on Mar. 22 ahead of a seven inning, two hit complete game shutout against New Paltz on Apr. 3. He closed out his regular season with his lone relief appearance on May 2, holding Merchant Marine scoreless across 2.1 innings to earn the win and secure Manhattanville its first home playoff game since 2009.

McCann's name is now all over the program record book, with his 2026 season ranking as the ninth-lowest single-season ERA in school history. His nine wins are the second most in a season, with his ten starts are tied for fifth, five complete games tied for sixth, 65.1 innings sixth, 53 strikeouts tied for sixth, and 0.83 walks per nine second.

McCann became the winningest pitcher in school history with 19 career wins, winning his program-record 18^th game on Apr. 26 against Purchase.  

McCann will further be considered for All-America status by both organizations. Both the ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball All-America teams will be announced on Thursday.
