Box Score MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Manhattanville baseball team struggled in its final game at the Cal Ripken Experience on Tuesday morning, falling to Johnson & Wales by a final score of 8-0.

Manhattanville (4-3) was unable to produce at the plate, tallying only three hits while scoring no runs against Johnson & Wales (2-0) on a frigid morning in Myrtle Beach.

Senior Joe Pareres (Bronxville, N.Y./Fordham Prep) made his first start of the season for the Valiants, going 5 1/3 innings, giving up six earned runs in the losing effort. In relief, freshman Joe Anselmi (North Rockland, N.Y./North Rockland) dealt 2 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball while sophomore Kurt Hommen (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) pitched an inning, contributing two strikeouts.
