Valiants Compete at Jasper Fall Invitational

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattanville University Men's and Women's cross country teams competed at the Jasper Fall Invitational, their second meet of the season. Six members of the men's team competed in the 8k placing 4th out of nine total. On the women's side, two members competed in the 6k.  

Joey DeMilio (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) took the lead for Manhattanville placing 7th in the field of 64 with a time of 28:26.5. The next three Valiants crossed the finish line all within a minute of each other, placing 23rd, 25th and 27th. Zach Garrant (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill High School) came first with a time of 30:48.1, followed by Roberto Schneiger (New York, N.Y./Urban Academy Lab) with 30:53.4 and Matthew Friday (Bronx, N.Y./AECI Charter) with 31:13.7. Daniel Baldessarre (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) finished closely behind in 31st with 31:35. Darlig Delgado (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore Senior) was the final member of the men's team finishing at 37th at 32:36.1.  

On the women's side, Jennifer Oliveros (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) and Adelina Rodriguez (Westbury, N.Y./Westbury) represented Manhattanville. Oliveros placed 32nd with a time of 31:02.6 and Rodriguez placed 42nd at 32:53.8. The 6k totaled for a 54-women race overall.
