Cross Country Runs at Jasper Fall Invite

MONTGOMERY, N.Y. – Manhattanville cross country teams traveled to the Jasper Fall XC Invitational, facing a multitude of Division I  and III schools. The men's team earned sixteenth, and the women's team earned fifteenth overall.
 

Women's Cross Country – 15th / 16

The women's team competed in the 6000 M race, having six Valiants compete. Leading the way was sophomore Jennifer Oliveros (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle), running a 28:30.60 and earning 161st. Freshman Sam Delgado (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) followed close behind placing 162nd with a 29:09.90. Next across the line was sophomore Adelina Rodriguez (Westbury, N.Y./Westbury) earning 167th overall with a time of 31:01.20. Graduate student Alicia Bibi (Marlborough, Mass./Marlborough) was next to finish in at 169th running a 32:23.80. The final two Valiants to cross the finish line came in at 172nd and 173rd were freshmen Kristen Mejia (Port Chester, N.Y./Port Chester) with 33:54.40 and junior Lilly Savnik (Mastic, N.Y./William Floyd) with 34:04.40.

Men's Cross Country – 16th / 16

The men's team competed in the 8000 M race with seven Valiants finishing. Junior Joey DeMilio (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains) placed 145th overall, running a 28:39.40. Next to finish was senior Zach Garrant (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill High School), earning 157th and recording a 29:33.20. Classmate Daniel Baldessarre (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) crossed next placing 169th with a 31:53.20. The final four Valiants spanned across six spots with 173rd going to Danny Noia (Honolulu, Hawaii/McKinley) (32:49.90), 175th to Courtney Brown (Clarendon, Jamaica/Mount Vernon) (33:29.20), 177th to Darlig Delgado (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore Senior) (36.09.40) and 178th to Aka Udeagha (Rye, N.Y./Rye) (41:34.30) to conclude the day.
