DALLAS, Pa. - The Manhattanville College men's and women's cross country teams took part in the 2015 Middle Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Letterkenny Fields, with the men's team placing 15th overall.

Misericordia University took top honors on the women's side with 45 points, while Widener University captured its third straight men's title with 40 points.

The Valiant women sent three runners to the championship race and did not score. The team was paced per custom by sophomore Katie DiCola (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson). She finished 53rd in the 164-runner field by crossing the line in 26:06.86.

Freshman Veronika D'Aragona (Kingston, N.Y./Kingston) finished in 30:05.13 to place 134th overall, and sophomore Lauren Limato (Mount Vernon, N.Y./The Ursuline School) registered a time of 32:08.19 to place 151st.

The Manhattanville men finished with 429 points and missed the presence of top runner Austin McGlone on Saturday, who was forced to pull out of the race due to injury. Senior Matt Goidell was the squad's top finisher on Saturday, crossing the line in 29:57.44 to place 83rd overall out of 152 runners.

Classmates Peter Rizzo and Malcolm Winter both finished close together as well, with Rizzo taking 112th place with a time of 31:44.62 and Winter ending up four spots back in 116th position after crossing the line in 32:05.93. Freshman J.T. Scapperotti was the fourth Valiant to finish, posting a time of 35:43.82 to place 140th, while senior Evan Winston ended the day in 148th place at 38:04.80.

The Valiants are slated to conclude the 2015 cross country season in two weeks at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships, held at Letchworth State Park.
