Kristin Sahlem GalvinKristin Sahlem Galvin became one of the faces that put Manhattanville women's hockey on the map. A member of the first-ever team that took to the ice for the Valiants in the inaugural 1999-2000 season, Sahlem played 104 games for Manhattanville, finishing her four-year collegiate career with 81 goals scored, 84 assists and 165 career points. She finished her tenure as a Valiant as the program's all-time leader in points, goals, assists and game-winning goals, and still ranks second in all four statistical categories today. Sahlem scored 33 goals in her rookie season in 1999-00, still the program single-season record, while her 57 points that year were only second in team history to her teammate Lindsey Paulsrud's 58 from the same season. The Valiants would earn national rankings in each of the three seasons after Sahlem's rookie year and won the ECAC East Conference Championship in 2002 and 2003 to make the team's first two NCAA Tournament appearances, advancing all the way to the national championship finals in both seasons.
